Dr Haisong Wang

Chief Physician, Senior Lecturer and Health and Well-being Advocate. Co-founder and Business Manager of the Capital Health Centre of Chinese Medicine.


Dr Haisong Wang graduated from the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine and a master's degree in Prescription Science in Chinese Herbal Medicine.


Dr Wang lectured in Chinese Medicine at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) from 1999-2009 and as such, has developed a clear style in communicating new information to an audience. He enjoys teaching and promoting Chinese Medicine in Australia.


Dr Wang has over 20 years’ experience in the profession and has been practicing in Canberra for 18 years. Before coming to Canberra in year 1998, he works in a hospital in China. He uses an integrated and holistic approach, combining Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture and acupressure techniques, diet, exercise and lifestyle analysis to help with a broad range of health conditions and provide ongoing support for preventative measures.


Dr Wang is also active in promoting public health and awareness concerning Chinese Medicine through regular community health talks and seminars in connection with organisations such as the senior's clubs in Canberra, the University of the 3rd Age (U3A), government departments, Carers ACT and many local communities.


Dr Haisong Wang represented the ACT as a practitioner member of the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia. He is one of the founding members of nine in the board across the whole nation. This board was established in 2011 as the first national board for Chinese Medicine in Australia. 


Dr Wang is also an accredited member of the Federation of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Society of Australia (FCMA), a highly respected network of Chinese medicine health practitioners, and is an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
